Vincent Manzini, aka Sir Vincent would pitch up at clubs, practically begging to be allowed to play the first set. Slowly but surely he raised his a profile on the DJing scene to the point where Black Coffee now says Manzini has the drive, dedication and perspective to make it as a leading DJ.
He plays soulful deep house, old school and funky house beats at events and clubs across the country and travelled abroad to ADE in Amsterdam where he played a Bolier Room set with Black Coffee and Luciano Cadenza.
Armed with business theory, powerful contacts and some money, Manzini founded Jump Start Music, Khayelitsha’s first DJ academy, a place where aspiring young DJs could learn the skills Manzini had to pick up on his own. He also established Khayelitsha’s first entertainment website (Ikapa Live), its first classifieds newspaper (Kassified) and Ikasi Experience, a market at which township entrepreneurs are be able to showcase their wares and ideas.
